Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian film actor who works in Hindi cinema. In the first round of his film career, after being given a lot of non-negotiable character, he was awarded a special jury award in the National Film Award in 2012. Siddiqui was born on May 19, 1974, in the small village of Muzaffarnagar district and Tehsil Budhana in the western part of Uttar Pradesh state of India. He was born in a predominantly Muslim family. He is the eldest of his eight siblings. He obtained the degree of science graduate from the Gurukul Kangri University of Haridwar. After this, he had worked as a Chemist for a year in Vadodara before moving to Delhi. Once in Delhi, after watching a play, he got an interest in acting and when he got admitted to the National School of Drama in Delhi, after filing, he had done about 10 plays with his friends.

After graduating, Siddiqui entered the National School of Drama and then went to Mumbai. The 2004 year, proved to be the most struggling year of his life, at this time he was also unable to pay rent. To stay, he also asked his senior N.S.D. and senior also gave him his apartment to stay in Goregaon, but his condition was that he had to cook for his senior every day.
Siddiqui had made his Bollywood debut in 1999. He had a small role in Aamir Khan's film Sarfarosh. After that, he played the role of a messenger in the film Jungle, but then he only started getting the role of guest role. After this, he had worked with Munnabhai MBBS with Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt.

Then he started searching for work in television, but his hand was not successful. In 2003, he bypassed a short film, in which he worked with Irrfan Khan. Then he played a powerful role in Anurag Kashyap's film Black Friday (2007).  In 2009, he made a cameo role in the film Dev D.'s song "Emosanal Attyachar". This role was played as Rangeela and Lucila. After this, critics' eyes were spotted in New York. But he got the role of journalist's role in his international identity, Aamir Khan's production film Pepli Live (2010).
He appeared in a 2012 successful film story, in which he played the role of short-tempered intelligence officer Khan. Then he appeared in Anurag Kashyap's another film Gangs and Wasseypur, he appeared in his new style. In the role of Sonu Duggal in Asim Ahluwalia's film Miss Lovely, he played the role of a primary role. His performance in this film was also praised in the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, he was also given the status of "Most Real Performer" in this festival. Siddiqui was also seen in the sequels of Gangs of Wasseypur. In 2013, he had a horror movie Soul, in which he appeared in the lead role. Then in 2012, in the filming of Aamir Khan, he did play an admirable role.

In 2015, Siddiqui's film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manjhi - The Mountain Man was released, and in both of these films, the audience and critics praised his performance very much. After this, Siddiqui looked in the movie Haraamkhor in Gujarat. For his performance in Haraamkhor, he also got the Best Actor Award at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Siddiqui lives in Mumbai with his younger brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, his brother is a director. Nawazuddin has married Anjali and has a daughter, Shora and a son, who was born on his 41st birthday.
